Eleanor L. Myers

Eleanor L. Myers, 98, of Stewartstown passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Orville G. Kayler and the late Marvin S. Myers. Born in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Frank L. and Lula D. High Murphy. Eleanor retired from the A & P Grocery Store where she worked as a cashier for nearly 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, taking nature walks, reading, milk chocolate candy and volunteering at the Mason Dixon Library in Stewartstown. She even maintained her standing weekly hair appointment until the week she died. She is survived by two children James O. Kayler, his fiancee' Marion Connolly, of Bishopville, Maryland and Jacqueline A. Fousek of Stewartstown; two grandchildren Christine and Joseph Fousek; one great-grandchild, Rylee Reynolds. Eleanor was preceded in death by a daughter Jeanie Kayler and her four siblings, Elizabeth Eber, Frank Murphy, Richard Murphy and Geraldine Dontell along with her son-in-law, James Fousek. Memorial services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown. Interment will be private.
