Elizabeth M. Rumpf

On August 23,2024, Elizabeth M. “Betty” Rumpf (nee Robusto), beloved wife for 33 years of Carl H. Rumpf, Jr., beloved daughter of the late John J & Adeline Robusto, loving mother of Stephanie Gebhart, and her husband Joseph Desenberg, and devoted Grandmother to Jackson Desenberg passed away.  Dear sister to John F. Robusto, his wife Jackie and sister Deborah Ringley.  She was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Wladkowski, and brother-in-law Timothy Ringley.

Betty had a 24-year career with BGE where she began as a part-time clerical assistant in the Merchandise Department and climbed the ladder to retire as a Supervisor in the New Business Construction Department.  She developed many lasting friendships with her co-workers.

Betty was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Ravens where she had season tickets for the last 23 years.  She was a true football fan.  She enjoyed visiting Hilton Head Island, SC in the summer where she would vacation at least once a year.  In the Fall she loved visiting Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland.  She loved her many animals, especially her Boston Terrier Raphael.

Betty had a nineteen-year battle with cancer with the last four years being especially difficult.

Public visitations will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Immediately following the service, inurnment will take place in Highview Memorial Gardens in Fallston, MD.
