Elmer R. Wagner, 92, of York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Louise K. (Wales) Wagner. Born in Hanover to the late Raymond and Mabel (Orndorf) Wagner, Elmer proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea. He had worked at AMP as a maintenance mechanic for over 27 years. Elmer was also the owner/operator of Elmer R. Wagner TV in Shrewsbury, he restored steamer trunks in his spare time, and enjoyed bowling. He was a wonderful family man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are two children, Justin S. Wagner and his wife, Tina, and Bonita J. Grady and her husband, Ed; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one sibling, Nelson Wagner. Elmer was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Wagner, and a brother, Lloyd Wagner. There will be a graveside service honoring Elmer’s and Louise’s lives at a later date at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
