Elmer Eugene Wolf

Elmer Eugene Wolf, 87, of Shrewsbury, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Born in Shrewsbury, he was the son to the late Clarence and Mary (Reimold) Wolf.

“Gene”, aka “Wolfie”, worked for the Southern Regional Police Force for 29 years. He was a mason, and a member of the Rose Fire Company of New Freedom. Wolfie was also a lifetime member of the York County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #73.

Wolfie is survived by 2 granddaughters, Stacey May and Wendy Wolf; his sister, Bonnie Poff and brother-in-law Rodney; his daughter-in-law, Jean Wolf; and nephew Matthew Poff and his wife Amy, and niece Lena Poff. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith E. Wolf and 2 nephews.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 12-2pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. 2nd St, New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the funeral service at the New Freedom Fire Hall 200 E Main St, New Freedom, PA 17349.
