Erma Ruth Barkon

Erma Ruth Barkon, 85, of Stewartstown, PA passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Edward Barkon. Born in Covington, VA, on April 26, 1936 to the late Samuel Kirby and Dora (Chapman) Kirby. Erma was very outgoing and loved to have fun. She loved going out with her grandkids to listen to music and dance. She adored her family, who called her Nanny. Surviving family members include a daughter, Sheila Nocar and husband, Joseph; 4 grandchildren, Joseph Nocar IV, Stacy Saunders and husband, Terry, Raymond Nocar, and Jason Nocar; 13 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Cameron, Jacob, Joseph V, T.J., Christopher, Nathen, Alyssa, Tyler, Nikolas, Leah, Emily, and Jonathon. Erma was preceded in death by 6 siblings. A public viewing will be held Tuesday, February 8th from 1:00 -3:00 pm and 5:00 -7:00 pm at Hartenstein, 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, PA 17363. A service will begin at 7:00 pm. Interment will be on Tuesday, February 15th, in Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Ave., Baltimore, MD 21208.
