Esther R. Dill

Esther R. Dill, 77, of New Freedom passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert Jerry Dill, who passed away in 1989. Born in Phoenix, MD, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Agee) Costa. Esther was a homemaker and enjoyed maintaining her warm and inviting home. She was a very classy, elegant, dignified, and beautiful lady who loved spending time with her family and her great-granddaughters. Esther was a lifetime member of Shrewsbury Assembly of God. Those who knew her will remember that she was a devoted wife to her late husband Jerry. She will be remembered with love from her daughter Linda, wife of Dean Miller of New Freedom; two grandchildren, Mitch Miller and wife Diana, and Jennifer, wife of Steve Pickel; two great-granddaughters Madelyn and Alaina Pickel; one brother Morris Costa and many nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by three brothers Robert, Charles, and Steve Costa and three sisters Lillie Boyd, Doris Fisher, and Mary Mays. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11AM at Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St, Shrewsbury, with Pastor Jason Tourville officiating. Interment will follow in New Freedom Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the Church and from 10-11AM on Friday at the Church.
