Eugene Leroy Miller, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was the loving husband of Hilda I. (Schnetzka) Miller and the late Virginia Joines Miller. Born in Stewartstown, he was the son of the late Calvin P. and Lottie (Keesey) Miller. A graduate of the Stewartstown High school, he worked on the family farm prior to entering the service; Eugene proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. He was a tool & die maker, working for AMP Inc. from 1960-1985 and then working for AMMAC Inc. from 1987-2000. He attended Stewartstown UMC, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, spending time at the shore and in the mountains. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Lesa (Miller) Dalton-Nalls and her husband, Jim of New Freedom, and David ‘Bud’ Miller and his wife, Dawn of York; 2 stepchildren, LuAnn Julius and her husband, Robert of York, and Lori McCleary and her husband, Keith of Fawn Grove; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a stepson-in-law, Dean Colvin; and many nieces and nephews. Eugene was preceded in death by a step daughter, Kerry Colvin, a grandchild, David E. Miller Jr., and 3 siblings, Earl Miller, Robert Miller, and Evelyn Miller Hulshart. There will be a public viewing on Saturday, September 11, from 10-11 a.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363 with a funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Stewartstown Cemetery.
