Eva Jeneva Rohde (Watson)

On January 13, 2018, Eva Jeneva (Watson) Rohde, 89, passed away at Manor Care Health Services York South.She was the wife of the late Alvin Rohde, Sr. Eva was born September 13, 1928 in Phoenixville, PA to the late Minnie (Geib) and Walter L. Watson, Sr.In her working life, she had worked for Bata Shoe Company, was a housekeeper and a caretaker.She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church - Gatchelville, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Eva is survived by two sons, Walter Harris and wife Sandy, and Alvin Rohde, Jr. and wife Kim; two granddaughters, Tina Simmons and Maria Rohde; two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Sabrina Simmons; one brother, William Watson; three sisters, Janet Shear, Edna Hollis and Marge Peppenery; and three adopted sons, Richard, Duane and Dale Poche.Preceding her in death are her husband; parents; four brothers, Walter, Edward, Richard and Arthur Watson; two sisters, Ruth and Barbara Watson and one daughter, Janet Rohde. Public viewing will be from 11am until a funeral service begins at 12pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. Interment will follow in Prospect United Methodist Cemetery, Gatchelville. Pastor Troy Harrold will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to a charity of your choice.
