Evelyn Hine Doxzon, 94, formerly of Stewartstown passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Country Meadows of Leader Heights. She was the wife of George W. Doxzon to whom she was married 74 years. Born in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Edna M. (Kopp) Hine. Evelyn was a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of the Arts, taught decorative painting for many years and was an accomplished seamstress and artist. She had a costume design business from 1944-1945 and later went to work as a designer at Western Electric. She was a member of St. John Sadler’s Lutheran Church and a chartered member of the Keystone Painters and had contributed a hand painted ornament for the White House several years ago. In addition to her husband George, she is survived by her three children Pamela, wife of Dave Ailes, Stephen Doxzon and wife Jennifer and Drew Doxzon and wife Debbie; five grandchildren Jason Heeter and wife Michelle, Jane Heeter, Jessica Doxzon Linebaugh and husband Michael, Randy Doxzon and wife Emily, Alan Davies and wife Rachel; 11 great-grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2 pm from St. John Sadler’s Lutheran Church, 2916 Sadler’s Church Rd. Stewartstown. Interment will be held privately.
