Evelyn Louise Nelson (Eder)

On Sunday, April 22, 2018, Evelyn L. (Eder) Nelson, 81, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital.She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Nelson.Evelyn was born on February 24, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Andrew M. and Josephine M. (Durika) Eder. Formerly of Baltimore, she retired from PDP in Hunt Valley, MD in 1999 as a computer technician.She had also worked for Black and Decker Manufacturing in Hampstead, MD.She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom. Evelyn is survived by her children, Carol Lynn Nelson, Susan Lynn Fornaro, Karen Lynn Milewski and husband Eric, and Kenneth Thomas Nelson and wife Lyn; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters. A public viewing will be from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, April 25 at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom.Funeral Liturgy will be at 11am on Thursday, April 26 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Rev. Robert A. Yohe, Jr. will officiate.
