Evelyn Leona Saxberg, 87, died Tues., Jan. 16, 2018 at ManorCare, Dallastown. She was the wife of Willott David Saxberg of Fawn Grove with whom she married on December 19th, celebrating 19 years of marriage together. Born in Stewartstown, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Markline Sylvester and Ida Janett (Eaton) Durham. “Evelyn came from a large family. Besides her parents there were six children. Evelyn had one brother, Bill & four sisters, Eleanora, Phyllis, Mertha & Jean. She was very devoted to her sisters. Evelyn was more of a listener than a conversationalist, but when she was with one or more of her sisters, this would bring out her talkative nature hidden within her. She didn’t like flying or cruises, but I was able to take her on two flights. The last flight was a year ago to California, and I am glad she was able to take it before her health deteriorated. She loved her cats, bluegrass music, and a sense of independence that she possessed. She was a good cook and loved cooking her favorite recipes.”- Husband, Willott There will be a viewing on Monday, January 22nd from 12 to 1 pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S.
