(Finkle) Heathcote

Genett (Finkle) Heathcote, 79, of Shrewsbury passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of Gary M. Heathcote to whom she was married 59 years on September 20th of this past year. Born in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Lillian G. (Fuhrman) Finkle. Genett was employed for 22 years as an assistant bookkeeper with H & R Block in Baltimore and had been previously employed with the Federal Reserve Bank in Baltimore from 1956-1960. She was a life member of Central Alarmer’s Inc, International Fire Buff Associates and was a former member of the Maryland Line Volunteer Fire Co. Genett was also a member of the Glen Rock Historical Preservation Society. In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by a daughter Lauren H. Amberman of Baltimore; one grandson John H. Boyle and one great-granddaughter Sasha Marie Boyle both of Colorado. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:30 pm from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care Inc, 24 N. Second St. New Freedom with Rev. Aaron Cope officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
