Frances L. Gier

Frances Lee Gier, 74, of Stewartstown, passed away at home Monday, July 15, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nettie Riley.

Frances had many different hobbies, interests, and talents. She loved doing her crafts and painting and hiding Kindness rocks for others to find. Frances was a meticulous person, making sure everything she did including cleaning and organizing was exactly right. Anyone who knew Frances recognized she was a selfless person and would do anything for anyone. Frances was also a strong, yet stubborn, prideful and independent women. She never asked for help but would always offer to help others in any way she could. Frances’ family and friends were everything to her. She was a loving, caring, and wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Frances is remembered by her two children, Sherrie Emerson and Matthew Gier; one grandchild, Brandi Gier; and four siblings, June, Mary, Barb, and Tammy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 starting as 12:00 PM at the Charles Sweeney Memorial Park in Shrewsbury, located on Playground Ave. Ext., Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
