Frank P. Cimbolo, 79, of Parkton, Maryland passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Barbara J. (Anderson) Cimbolo to whom he was married 57 years. Born in Baltimore, Maryland he was a son of the late Salvatore and Grace (Liberto) Cimbolo. Frank was an alumnus of Mount St. Joseph and was a great athlete who excelled in football and baseball. He also enjoyed coaching and refereeing sports. Frank was a devout catholic who taught CCD for 30 years, was a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a Maryland State Trooper for several years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and served in the US Army. In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by three children John Cimbolo, Carla, wife of Jason Kotik and Amy Meyers; five grandchildren Aaron, Jake, Nathalie, Zachary and John; one brother Salvatore Cimbolo. Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 12:00 PM from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave. New Freedom, PA with Rev. Mark T. Wilke as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday from 4-7PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
