Frederick Joseph Lockard passed away surrounded by family on Monday, February 17, 2025 in Baltimore, MD at the age of 57.
Fred fought a very hard battle with a relentless form of leukemia for one year with so much strength and perseverance.
He was born May 8, 1967 to Louis Calvin Lockard Jr. and Sandra Mildred Ekholm.
He is survived by his mother; daughter, Jessica Rae Hall; brothers, Louis Calvin Lockard III (Rae Lynn) and Gunnar John Lockard (Deborah) and niece Caitlin Brooke Lockard.
He was preceded in death by his father L. Calvin.
Graduating from high school in 1985, Fred pursued a career as a Class A truck driver with full endorsements, and also offered his talents for a time as school bus driver for Baltimore Co.
He enjoyed his motorcycles as well as classic cars he has owned over the years.
Driving “anything with wheels” was his passion. He found joy in the rumble of an engine, the freedom of the highway, and the camaraderie of those who shared the love of the ride.
Fred was a loving father, brother, and son, a devoted cousin and friend, a kind soul who looked after his family’s well being often above his own, loved children and animals, and appreciated his independence and freedom in his later years.
His laughter and unmistakable presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at 11 AM and the funeral service at 12PM to honor Fred’s life on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St Paul’s Church in Manchester, MD (5010 St Paul’s Rd). A luncheon will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
