Garry Lee Schaeffer, Sr.

Garry Lee Schaeffer, Sr., 86, of White Hall, MD passed away on Sat., July 6, 2024. He was the loving husband of Dorcas E. (Ensor) Schaeffer for 68 years.  Born in York, PA, he was the son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Nonemaker) Schaeffer.

Garry graduated from Hereford High School, class of 1955. He retired from Western Electric, Baltimore, MD after 30 years of service as a machine operator. After retiring, he spent time with his brother-in-law fixing lawnmowers and fulfilling many small engines repairs.  He also enjoyed hunting, playing the card game 500 and being around his grandkids and great grandkids.

In addition to his wife Dorcas, he is survived by his three children, Garry Lee Schaeffer, Jr. (Pam), David Wayne Schaeffer (fiancée Donna), and Darlene Kay Schaeffer (significant other John), seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be private and at the convenience of the family.
