George N. Marshall, Jr.

d. October 15, 2022

George Norman Marshall Jr., 51, of Millers, MD received his wings to Heaven on October 15, 2022. He was born on May 23, 1971, in Millers, MD to his parents George Sr. and Doris Marshall. Although his passing was sudden, he never skipped a beat in life; he took every opportunity and chance he had head on, and his courage never ceased to amaze everyone.

George was the loving husband of 27 years to Missy Marshall. He was also an amazing Dad to his two daughters, Kayla and Veronica Marshall who he loved wholeheartedly. He would move any mountains and capture all of the stars for the three most important girls in his life.

All his life he was a self-taught and self-employed carpenter; who took great pride in his attention to detail and his ability to solve even the most difficult challenges. He truly could help in every aspect, there wasn’t any job he couldn’t find a solution to. George could accomplish anything he set out to do; with blood, sweat, and tears he built the home he and Missy had dreamt of for our family from the ground up, on the 18 acres they purchased in their 20’s on his family’s property that dates back to the early 1920’s. This was one of many dreams he had that he successfully accomplished over the years.

George loved hunting and the thrill of waiting for that big buck to cross his path and if he wasn’t out hunting you would find him down at the reservoir in his fishing hole, fishing the night away. He loved being in the solitude of the woods, where he found serenity. George was always ready for some good time fun. He could light up any room with his infectious smile, contagious laughter, and his quick wit. Even in any awkward situations or in the darkest of times he would get you to crack a smile or have you laughing, he was special in that way and that is something everyone that met him will forever carry with them among many memories.

George was preceded in death by his father George N. Marshall Sr. In addition to his wife Missy, he is survived by his two daughters Kayla M. Marshall and Veronica M. Marshall, both of Millers; his mother Doris V. Marshall of Bel Air; his in-laws Charles and Daryl Sutton of Freeland; his sister Beth (Joe) Rogers of Jarrettsville; and he leaves behind three nephews, and a niece; among many well cherished family and friends.
