George V. Miles

George V. Miles, 88, of New Freedom, PA, passed away on February 2, 2024.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Vernon and Mary Alice Miles. He was the husband to the late Rita E. Miles.

George loved to golf and fish. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan and was a member of the Bon Air Country Club. George and Rite enjoyed making trips to their beach house in Myrtle Beach. They also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Mostly, George was a devoted family man and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

George is survived by his five children Bryan Miles, Terry Herganhahn, Alex Miles, George Miles, and Laurie Miles; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild with one on the way; a brother Ronald Miles and a sister Patricia Elgin.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2023, from 10 - 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church; 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349 with the funeral litergy starting at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow in the adjoining cemetery.
