Gerald F. “Jerry” Jacque, 87, of Glen Rock passed away December 28, 2019 in York. He was the loving husband of the late Theresa (Ryncewicz) Jacque. Jerry was born in Caribou, ME to Euclide and Arselia (Bouchard) Jacque. He honorably served his country in the Army, during the Korean conflict. He worked for Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point for over 30 years and always provided well for his family. Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed woodworking projects. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He will be fondly missed by his family and friends. Jerry is survived by his 3 children Gary Jacque and his wife Deborah, Mark Jacque and his wife Carly, and Cindy Varnell and her husband Bill; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Theresa, Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, a son Brian Jacque, and 3 brothers Wallace, Euclid and Eldon Jacque. A public visitation will take place from 6 PM to 8PM on Friday January 10, 2019 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A Memorial Mass will occur Saturday January 11 beginning at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church 315 N. Constitution Ave in New Freedom with Rev. Benjamin J. Dunkelberger officiating followed by agraveside service in the adjoining church cemetery.
