Geraldine Carol “Jeri,” “Butchie” McLaughlin Lemak, 82, of Shrewsbury, PA, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, in York, PA.Born Feb. 24, 1939, in Duquesne, PA.She was the daughter of the late John McLaughlin and Pearl M. (Septer) McLaughlin Budai, step-father Nicholas Budai. She was the wife of the late Nicholas E. Lemak. She was preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy Huwalt, Betty Wells and Pete McLaughlin. She was the beloved mother of Lisa Lemak (Morris Hackett), Scott Lemak (Miel) and Sheri Rakvin (Alan); and grandmother to Joshua and Nikki Rakvin (Brennan) and KimRoi (Alexis), Pearl Lemak. She was also loved by many many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She worked as a Sales Associate at Hills Department Store for many years. Jeri loved cooking, crocheting, playing Bingo, watching sports, spending time with her family, traveling and her Irish heritage. Jeri loved coaching girl’s softball; she was very involved in McKeesport High School Sports. A private celebration of life will be held in her memory at a later date.
