Gladys M. Green, 89, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Saturday, February 13, 2016, at her home. She was the wife of the late Myles "Dick" Green. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Interment will be in Yoe Union Cemetery, Yoe. Born December 24, 1926, in Yoe, Gladys was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Barnhart) Bull. Gladys was employed as a machine operator with AMP, Inc. in Shrewsbury for 16 years. After retirement in 1989, she worked as a housekeeper at the former Barbara J. Egan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Shrewsbury. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Yoe, Fifteen Seabee Battalion Association life member, National AARP, Ladies Auxillary of VFW Post #7046 in Stewartstown, Ladies Auxillary of Shrewsbury Fire Company, Shrewsbury, York Hospital Auxillary and AMPRA (Retired Empoyees of AMP, Inc.). She is survived by her daughter, Michele Sander and her husband, Eric; two grandchildren, Kory Sander and Ashley Baker; two great-grandchildren, Marissa and Kendra Baker; one brother, Clair Bull. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Ream; and one brother, Carl Bull.
