Glenda J. Sterner (Henry)

Glenda J. Sterner, 76, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry L. Sterner to whom she had been married 56 years. There will be a viewing Friday, December 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown. The funeral service will begin 1 p.m. with Pastor Robert G. Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Born March 30, 1941 in York, Glenda was the daughter of the late Clair and Margaret (Blevins) Henry. Glenda was a life long member of the Shrewsbury Assembly of God. She retired from Bon-Ton, York in 2003 after 35 years of service. She also served as an Avon Lady for over 40 years. Glenda loved people and helping where ever needed. She is survived by a sister, Brenda Tome and husband, Bill of Stewartstown; a brother, Dennis Henry and wife, Barbara of York; two nieces, Stephanie Ferree and her husband, Curtis of Glen Rock, Jennifer Dunigan and her husband, Barrett; her sister-in-law, Darlene Kline of Shrewsbury; and a great-nephew, Benjamin Ferree.
