Gordon Edwards, 76, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 with family by his side at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Gordon (Gus) was an avid walker and bicyclist on the North-Central Railroad trail with his wife and family. He enjoyed playing Sudoku, loved spending time with his family, cheering for the Orioles and the Ravens, cracking jokes, bird watching, deep sea fishing, reading and making the best shrimp salad on the East Coast! He worked for many years as the parts manager for R&H Motors Mercedes-Benz as well as for Mercedes-Benz of North America. After retirement, he worked part-time for Prettyboy Elementary School and for NAPA Auto Parts in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. Gordon made many friends throughout his career. He touched the lives of many people with his smile and good humor. Gordon was born on October 25, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to Margaret and Adolphus Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph Edwards. Gordon is survived by his beloved wife, Marlene Edwards; his three grateful children, Diana (John) Wells of Jarrettsville, MD, Debbie (David) Edwards-Steinmann of Boulder, CO and Donald (Julie Goeller) Edwards of Reisterstown, MD; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister, Kathleen Wolfe; two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was so proud of his family.
