Guy M. Gilbert

Guy M. Gilbert, 58, died Monday, November 23, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of Sharon (Davis) Gilbert with whom he celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on June 6, 2015. There will be a visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, November 29, at Stewartstown Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 14 College Ave., Stewartstown, followed by a 3 p.m. memorial service at the church. Born March 17, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Guy was the son of James "Bud" and Joann (Martinsek) Gilbert of N. Huntingdon. Guy was a 1975 graduate of Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County. He received his Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Baltimore. Guy found his dream job later in life as a solar PV system designer and installer. He was very involved in Boy Scouts and loved being in the outdoors. Guy was a wonderful husband and father who will be greatly missed.In addition to his wife and parents, Guy leaves a son, Zachary Gilbert, and a daughter, Lindsey Gilbert, both of Stewartstown; three brothers, Gary Gilbert and his wife, Trudy of Tinton Falls, N.J., Greg Gilbert and his wife, Denise of Severn, Md., and Glenn Gilbert of N. Huntingdon; parents-in-law, John and Ruth Davis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda and John Cole, John and Kathy Davis, and Gary and Karen Davis;and many nieces and nephews.
