H. Kathleen Waters

H. Kathleen Waters, 96, of Dover, PA passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. She was born in New Freedom, on September 13, 1925 to the late, Walter R. and Mabel Marie (Hare) Houseman. Kathleen was the loving wife of the late Carl K. Waters. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Michele C. Zettle and her husband, Keith of York, PA; three step children, K. David Waters of St. George, UT, Anne C. Logan and her husband, John of Littleton, CO, Margaret R. Zandler of Alexandria, VA;ten grandchildren; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marci K. McEntire; step daughter, Jean Andreas; son-in-law, Thomas McEntire; and brother, Walter R. “Bob” Houseman. She graduated from the former New Freedom High School; Class of 1943. Kathleen was employed from 1974-1978 at Ramada Inn in York, PA. She was previously employed at Holiday Inn and York Hoover Corporation, both of York.Kathleen volunteered for 15 years with the American Red Cross in York. She was a member of Independent Living Group of York Lutheran Retirement Village, Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association in Alexandria, VA and member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen’s memory to: St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church; 839 W. Market St., York, PA 17401 or American Cancer Society; 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603. Services will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family.
