Harold Dean “Hap” Masenheimer, 81, of York, died at ManorCare Health Services, Dallastown on October 12, 2016. He was the husband of Patricia A. (O’Hara) Masenheimer, with whom he had celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary this past September 18th. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, from 11:00 am to 12 noon at the Rose Fire Company, 200 E. Main St., New Freedom. A memorial service will begin at 12 noon with the Reverend Timothy George officiating. The J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc. of New Freedom is assisting the family. Hap was born in Railroad, York County, on March 29, 1935, a son of the late Richard and Helen (Warner) Masenheimer. He had retired from General Dynamics of Red Lion as a machine operator. Hap was an avid oil painter and Phillies fan. He enjoyed his 1953 Ford pickup truck and especially delighted in taking both his children as well as his grandchildren fishing. Surviving, in addition to his wife Pat, are two daughters, Teesi Rae Griffith of Windsor and Joy Ann Flinchbaugh and her husband Brady of Felton, a stepson Brian Lee Jenkins and his wife Karen of Ossian, IN, and a stepdaughter, Christine Lauren Jenkins of Cohoes, NY, grandchildren, MandiKuhns and her husband Glenn, Katie Conaway and her husband R.J., Christopher Flinchbaugh and Bailey Flinchbaugh, great grandchildren, Adelyn Conaway, Natalie Kuhns and Rylie Kuhns, a sister, Fern Boyer, a brother, Toby Masenheimer, a sister-in-law, Michele Calp, a brother-in-law, Robert Scott Meyers and a grand dog, Aly.
