Harry Roseen of Ronkonkoma, NY, 90, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2021. He lived life the way he wanted right until the end. ❤ Harry was married to his beloved wife for 56 years, the late Marian Roseen, who passed away in 2009. He was born on January 3, 1931 in Swansea, MA located in beautiful Bristol County, to the late Thure & Elin Rosen. Harry was a loving father to Linda Roseen-Kurz, Elin McNally (Bob), Robert Roseen (Kay); Grandfather to Robert (Adrienne), Daniel (Courtney) & William (Katrina) McNally; Jessica O'Neil (Casey), and David Roseen; and Great-Grandfather to Christina, Lucas, Lillian, Arya and was looking forward to welcoming #5 - a girl due in Sept - to the family. He leaves behind many other loved ones including nieces, nephews and friends who became family who all have cherished memories of their time together. In addition to his parents and loving wife, Harry was predeceased by a brother John Rosen, sister Edna Baxter, grandson Scott Rodgers, and son-in-law Pete Kurz. Harry was a proud United States Navy Veteran serving his country for eight years until Jan. 14, 1957. Harry was self-employed at HERTCO Trucking Company (1960-1980) and ultimately retired as a Blueprint Tech from Grumman Aerospace in the late 1980's. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing; he also enjoyed building & flying Model Aeroplanes. He was a member of the Matinecock Rod & Gun Club and a lifetime member in good standing of the Bayville Sportsman's Club. He and Marian loved to travel and over the years enjoyed many trips exploring, making friends and creating memories in many of the 50 United States as well as Mexico, Europe and China. Thanks to his loving wife, he learned to love classical music and passed away being serenaded by Luciano Pavarotti. A "Remembering Harry" Gathering is planned for Saturday, July 10th from 1:00-4:00pm at Harry's home in Ronkonkoma. All are welcome to come by to share a story with family and friends.
