Heidi Maria Hildreth, 79, of Cockeysville, Maryland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 8, 2023 peacefully at her home with family. Heidi was the daughter of the late Edmund and Ida (Skibak) Kittelt. She was born on May 5, 1944, in Wutschdorf, Austria. Heidi and her family started their travel from Austria by ship to the United Sates on March 17, and arrived to Ellis Island, New York, on March 29, 1952, following World War II.

Heidi was a graduate of Mervo High School and graduated in 1963. For over sixty (60) years, Heidi’s passion has consisted of making people look and feel great. She became the owner of “Heidi’s Hair Connection”, in Phoenix MD, in 2004.

If you were blessed enough to know Heidi, then you know what an amazing woman she was. A loving, caring, devoted mother, amazing grandmother, passionate great-grandmother, and a true friend and confidante. This word and definition is what we have all come to love and cherish in Heidi; selfless; concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with one's own self; this was her, always!

Heidi will always be known for her giving spirit: hours of hair cutting fundraisers, shoes, coats and gloves to the homeless, pizza deliveries to the homeless, her love for St. Jude, giving her last dollar for another to eat, and paying for a man’s co-pay so that he could get his chemo treatment. These are only a few examples of a whole lifetime of selfless giving.

Heidi loved her family dearly, they truly were her world. From school concerts, to proms, football games, birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, and family barbeques, she wanted to be right there, and she was. She lived a passionate life, doing what she loved, vacations, road trips, traveling, and late-night dinners with friends. She never let any grass grow under her feet.

Heidi is survived by her siblings: sister, Alma Kujas, sister, Gertrude Warth, brother, Lee and wife, Pat Kittelt. In addition, Heidi is survived by her children: Thomas E. and wife, Julia Hildreth, Lee A. and wife, Gina Hildreth.

Heidi was the devoted grandmother to Anthony and Jessica Gotti, Thomas D. and Therese Hildreth, Joseph Lloyd and significant other, Harley, James and Brooke Crandell, Brock Hildreth, Logan Hildreth, Haley Hildreth, and Bronson Hildreth.

Heidi was the loving great grandmother to Desiree Cook, Mackenzie Hildreth, Timmy Cook, Avery Gotti, Maddie McCartney, Major Hildreth, Rowan Crandell, Mac Gotti, and Rhett Crandell. Heidi was the loving aunt to nieces, Betty, Judy, Debbie, Mona, Tammy, Erika, Chrissy, Clare, Alissa, and Nephews, Lee, Teddy, Michael, Douglas, Mr. K., Brian, Dave, Mark, and Mike. Heidi was also the loving great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Heidi absolutely loved “Her Girls”. They spent many days and countless hours working with one another, sharing special moments together, and they too, were Heidi’s family. Along with her multitude of friends, who she loved and adored.

Heidi was preceded in death by her father and mother, Edmund and Ida Kittelt, brother Theodore (Teddy) and Rosie Kittelt, brother-in-law Alvin Rickards (Ricky), sister Hermine Scheyder (Mickey), brother Eddie and wife Debbie Kittelt, Elfriede Kittelt (Effie), and nephews John Irvin Jr, Jimmy Kittelt, and Eddie Kittelt.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Heidi to St. Jude, and the Helping Up Mission in Baltimore, MD.

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
