Helen W. "Bootsy" Richmond (Hinkle)

Helen W. “Bootsy” (Hinkle) Richmond, 92, died April 30, 2018.She was the wife of the late Waldo Cline Richmond, Sr. whom died December 20, 1989.She was born on June 7, 1925 in Tamroy, WV, and was the daughter of late Emmett and Virginia (Jack) Hinkle. Helen enjoyed word searches, watching the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and the Baltimore Orioles. Helen is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Lewis, and 4 sons, Robert Scherr, Sr. and his wife Barbara, Waldo Cline Richmond, Jr., William Richmond and his wife Betsy and Gary Richmond; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Scherr. There will be a viewing celebrating Helen’s life from 5:00 –9:00pm, on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the funeral home.Interment will follow at New Freedom Cemetery.
