Helen A. Channell, 94, of White Hall, MD passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 in SpiriTrust Lutheran in Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Channell, Sr. who passed away in 2002. Born in Norrisville, MD she was the daughter of the late Porter W. and Georgia S. (King) Rohrbaugh. Helen was a seamstress for 18 years at the former D&D Sewing Factory in Delta retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Pylesville, MD where she was active in the woman’s society and was a member of AARP. Helen enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and especially taking care of her family. She is survived by three children Robert L. Channell, Jr. husband of Martha of Abbottstown, Shirley M., wife of Kenneth Bailey of Glen Rock and Willard E. Channell husband of Judy of White Hall, MD; four grandchildren Stacey Burroughs, Frank Bailey, Wendy Nalls and Carrie Schlossenberg; two great-grandchildren Zane Kraus and Landon Channell. Helen was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Christine Channell, a son Ricky Lee Channell and her brother Everett Rohrbaugh. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 12 pm from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown with Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Interment will be held in Fawn Grove Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 11 am until the time of her funeral service at the funeral home.
