Henry Newton Wolfe

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, Henry N. Wolfe, 70, passed away at home with his family by his side.He was the loving husband of Janet (Hurley) Wolfe for 44 years.Henry was born on January 27, 1948 in Hot Springs, VA.He was a very hard worker and was employed by Gray and Son, Inc. for 24 years as a heavy equipment mechanic.Henry enjoyed being outside in the summer and tinkering around in his garage, but his passion was his grandchildren, which he completely adored. He is survived by his wife; children, Leona and David Wolfe; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Myles Wolfe; sister-in-law, Ardie Robertson; mother-in-law, Virgie Hurley and several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by seven siblings, Ester Marr, Charles Robertson, Lloyd, Daniel, Harry, Ernst Lee and Michael Wolfe. Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 31, from 7pm until 8pm at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom.At Henry’s request, there will be no funeral service.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
