Herbert Walker Weimer, Sr., passed from this life on Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born October 17, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland. Herb started his career working with his Dad inspecting Nuclear power plants. He then moved into the steel mill industry. He was an engineer for 20+ years in the mill industry, eventually traveling overseas to organize the opening of other steel mills.
In the early 70’s, Herb and Shirley started an antique business allowing him to retire from the steel mill industry and work full-time in the antique business. After 35+ years of operating an antique business, Herb and Shirley decided it was time to retire. They bought an RV and traveled about the United States.
Herb is survived by his beautiful wife of 65 years, Shirley Anne “Roddy” Weimer; half-brothers, Ronald & Linda Gray and Charles & Fred Gray; children, Shirley “Tammy” Howard, Herbert Jr. & Kathy Weimer, Susan & Kim Tortorice, and Steven Weimer. He is also survived by grandchildren, Mindy & Greg Dunn, Miranda Howard & Harry Fillion, Holly Weimer & Brian Lisee, Herbert Weimer III, Katie Weimer & Dylon Schaszberger, Brad & Sara Tortorice, and Branden Weimer; great grandchildren, Lucy & Oliver Dunn, Walter Howard, Robert Weimer, Brandon Lisee, Herbert Weimer IV, Kinsley Schaszberger, Aiden Weimer, James Weimer, Allen Weimer, Kingsley Weimer, and Wyatt Tortorice (due in August). Herb is also survived by many brother and sister-in laws, nieces, nephews, and other friends.
