Herbert Reese Welsh, 93, passed from this life with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. He was the loving husband of Dolores (Schaeffer) Welsh and they celebrated thirty-three years of marriage in June 2022. Born in Reisterstown, Md., he was the son of the late Alexander Earl and Marion Susie (Lewis) Welsh. Herbert had been a sales rep with Suburban Propane of Reisterstown, Md. with thirty-six years of service upon his retirement. He was a member of the Ionic Lodge #145 A.F. & A.M. of Reisterstown and a member of the Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company. Throughout his life he was a sports enthusiast, coaching softball and enjoying football and baseball. His hobbies included golfing, gardening, and a love of dogs. Surviving in addition to his beloved wife are his three children, Shelley Sarmiento St. Holmes and her husband, Derek, Whitney Welsh Cochran and her husband, Stanley, and Matthew Welsh; a stepdaughter, Michelle Sproul and her husband, Brian; and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Steven Fogle, and siblings, Earl Welsh, Virginia DeVilbliss and Ruth Wilson. Services and interment are at the convenience of his family at a later date.
