Jacqueline Ann "Jacquie" Widmer

Jacqueline Ann “Jacquie” Widmer, 71, of Stewartstown, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Wellspan York Hospital.Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and E. June (Hemphill) Widmer. Jacquie owned and operated Sunshine Designs in Stewartstown.She was previously employed by the District Magistrate office, the Quik Stop, Midtown Pet Studio, as well as, taught classes on painting, crafts and floral designs. She was a member of the Stewartstown United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Eureka Fire Company, where she served as treasurer and an EMT on the ambulance.She was also active with the Ladies Auxiliary.Jacquie is survived by many friends and her two dogs Gander and Tibbs, whom she adored.Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 18 at 11:00 AM at the Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St. Stewartstown, with Rev. Dr. Keith O. Braucher officiating.Interment will be Monday, August 20 at 10:00 AM in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd, York.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Eureka Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 457, Stewartstown, PA 17363.
