James Alan Cummings

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, James “Jimmy” Alan Cummings was called home to be with Jesus.He leaves behind the love of his life of 35 years, Cindi Bartkowski.James was born June 10, 1966, in York, to Virginia M. (Brown) and the late John W. Cummings, Sr. Jimmy graduated from Hereford High School.He was a warehouse supervisor at NH Yates of Cockeysville, MD for 15 years where he was well known and respected.He enjoyed making memories with Cindi and loving their pets.He was a Christian who loved all God’s creatures and bounties.He also loved spending time with all of his family and reciting scripture from the bible.Jimmy was good hearted man who was always willing to help anyone even if it was just cracking a joke to make you smile. Along with Cindi and his mother, he is survived by 2 brothers, John W. Cummings, Jr and his wife Carol and Joseph E. Cummings; one sister, Donna L. Staines and her husband Donald; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.He is preceded in death by his father; one brother, Jeffery R. Cummings; and a nephew, Donald M.M. Staines. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 26 from 3pm until a memorial service begins at 4pm at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Rev.
