James Roland Ewing, Jr.

James Roland Ewing, Jr., 81, of Felton, PA passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Born August 31, 1943, in Baltimore City, MD. He was the loving husband of F. Lois (Bell) Ewing.

He retired after 30 years of working with General Motors in Baltimore, MD. His favorite pastime was helping others. He could fix almost anything from home repairs to teaching his grandsons electrical and plumbing work. He was the 1st one his friends called on for help. He also enjoyed camping and making his own moonshine.

James is survived by his wife, Lois; three children, Dawn Palmer, Tami Eisenhuth, and Lois “Pinker” Broughman; grandchildren, Rachel Sage, Cory Sage, Matthew Eisenhuth, Madisyn Gesualdi, Bruce Markwordt, Jr., Stefan  Markwordt, Cooper Markwordt, Zachary Rossman, James Broughman, and Collin Broughman; three great-grandsons and three great granddaughters with another on the way in May; son-in-law, Bruce Markwordt (Michelle); sister-in-law, Shirley Curtain; and siblings, Andrea Allen, and Gina Williams. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Markwordt; grandson, Jacob Markwordt; siblings, Bernadette Swingler, and Dino Hester; and sister-in-law, Anna Krysiak. He will be remembered by many extended family and wonderful friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363 is assisting the family with services.
