James R. "Jim" Frederick

James Russell Frederick, 70, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Russell J. and Jean L. (Graper) Frederick. Jim was a man of many talents and spent most of his working life in construction, including time as a general contractor. Surviving are four children, Joanne Frederick, Jimmy Frederick, husband of Theresa, Christopher Frederick, husband of Jennifer, and Stephen Frederick, husband of Nicki; 9 grandchildren, Nick Frederick and his fiancée, Robin; Jake, Luke, Kemper, Aftyn, Gavin, Ethan, and Oliver Frederick, and Caitlyn Minor; 1 great grandson, Rory; 1 sister, Donna J. Buckingham and her husband, Wayne. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.Sunday, November 18, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 19, at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Adams officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
