James D. Harris

James D. Harris, 60, of York passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Crystal (Bell) Harris to whom he was married 36 years. Born in York, he was a son of Naomi (Hoover) Reimold of Stewartstown and the late Howard F. Harris and step-son to Sam Reimold also of Stewartstown. James was an owner operator of J.D. Harris Trucking and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a hardworking, honest, family man. James attended Grace Chapel Fellowship in New Freedom. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters Susan Holley, Jamie Chevalier and Danielle Harris; nine grandchildren Alyssia Alles, Natascha King, Vee King, Amiyah Holley, Antonio Holley, Lily Roberts, Nico Roberts, Makenna Chevalier and Darrien Chevalier; two great-grandchildren Jo’Voni King and Ma’Kai Fells; one daughter-in-law Danielle Roberts and four siblings Frank Harris, Dianna Lamparski, Kevin Harris and Rita Webb. James was preceded in death by his son Justin Roberts. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 2:00PM from Grace Chapel Fellowship, 15821 Bowman School Rd., New Freedom with Pastor David W. Burk officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603 in his memory.
