James M. “Jim” Rosier, 66, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016, due to a medical event that caused a motor vehicle accident. He was the loving husband of the late Mary E. (Ridley) Rosier who passed away July 18, 2010. Born November 29, 1949, in York, Jim was the son of the late Charles M. and Jeanne A. (Claflin) Rosier. He retired as the Vice President of Operations of the former Wells Brothers, Inc. of York, which provided trucking services. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970. He enjoyed hunting at Mohawk Cabin in Potter County, camping with the family, and woodworking. He was a member of the Parkton VFW Post #256 and the Stewart American Legion Post #455, Stewartstown. Jim was the loving father to six daughters: Jamie Folks, wife of Jonathan of Harrisburg, Beth Rosengrant, wife of William J. of Red Lion, Jennifer Yoder, wife of Chad of Dallastown, Michelle Keiser of Spring Grove, Melita Fiedler, wife of Dan of Glen Rock, and Marcia Gemmill, wife of Mike of New Freedom; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Gemmill, and a sister, Charlene Dickson. He also leaves behind his beloved dog and companion, Babe. #grumpyoldman A viewing will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm Monday, September 12, 2016, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, with a funeral service beginning at 3 pm with Bishop Michael Derr Wagner officiating. Interment will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
