Jane T. Traynor

Jane T. Traynor, 87, passed away at her home on November 8, 2022. She was born on April 27, 1935 in Darby, PA to the late, Charles and Matilda (Curlott) Rice. Jane was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Thomas J. Traynor.

Jane worked for 25 years as the parish secretary for St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom, PA.  Jane was very involved with her church family; she was an Extraordinary Minister, was part of the St. John Jewel’s, sang in the choir, and assisted with funeral luncheons. Jane loved to read and travel, but more than anything else, she loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Jane is survived by her children; Karen Corrigan (Mike), Jane Walker (Clark) and Stephen Traynor (Dana); grandchildren, Elizabeth Chase (J.T.), Clark Walker III (Amanda), Katherine Hatfalvi (E. J.) , Sarah Stover, Joseph Stover, Anne Stover, Delaney Traynor, and Sean Traynor; 2 great grandchildren, Emerson Chase and Lucas Walker; and son in law, Jeffrey Stover. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Traynor; children, Thomas Traynor and Kathleen Stover; and siblings, Edward Rice, Charles Rice and Mildred Keener.

A funeral Liturgy will be said at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at St. John the Roman Catholic Church, 315 North Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.
