Joanne M. Heaton

Joanne Margaret Heaton, 61, of Stewartstown passed away from complications of uncontrolled diabetes. Joanne was born October 23, 1957. She is survived by her father, Peyton Anderson; her daughter Julie Heaton (Alex Fernandez), grandchildren Alex and Ellie, her brother Bobby Anderson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Jean (Eshelman) Anderson and her brother and sister, Junior and Becky. Though disabled by diabetes for most of her life, Joanne was devoted to helping others. She loved meeting new people and made friends wherever she went. Joanne was faithful to God and loved going to church and reading the bible.She found peace in worship that she struggled to find in other areas of her life. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 7, at 6pm with visitation afterwards until 8pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc, 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the charity closest to your heart. Joanne contributed frequently to prison ministry. She believed strongly that faith healed.
