John Harvey Bradbury left planet Earth to join his beloved wife, Jean, in Heaven's glory. John was born in Toronto, Canada, on March 29, 1925, and died on November 22, 2015, in New Freedom. Following cremation any services will be at the convenience of the family. Preceding him in death were his son, Randy Bradbury; his wife, Jean Ilene Bradbury; his English and Scottish parents, John Henry Bradbury and Sarah Isobel Shortt Bradbury; his German and Irish in-laws, Jean's parents whom he loved dearly, Edward Klemm and Mary Catherine McGlaughlin Klemm. John was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force in WWII and served as a Sergeant Wireless Air Gunner. He was an Honors graduate from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc in Metallurgical Engineering in 1949. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1955 and became a Naturalized American citizen. He was employed for 35 years with Teledyne McKay in Pittsburgh and York. He held several positions with Teledyne including Research, Manager of Technical Services, Product Manager, Writer of Technical Literature, Sales Manager, and Oversight of the private label accounts. John traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, England, and Venezuela conducting training, seminars, and speaking engagements. He was well known for his comedic style of teaching. A committed born-again Christian baptized in the Holy Spirit, he was a strong believer in humor. Prov. 17:22KJV: "A merry heart doith good like medicine." Things John liked to do: Being with and enjoying extended family, telling stories, camping, reading, and studying the Bible, reading historical mystery novels, crossword puzzles, watching hockey games, and pole-vaulting. Most of all he enjoyed driving his camper with his favorite dog "Barker Von Piddle Pooper."Memberships included Prof. Engineers of the Province of Ontario, Prof. Engineers of Pennsylvania and the American Society of Metals. He was a Life Member of the American Welding Society. John was an Ordained Deacon of the Presbyterian Church and in recent years a member of Redeemer's Fellowship Church. Things he would like to be remembered by: He was generous, lovable and humorous (albeit dysfunctional and discursively funny). Above all he was anchored in the faith of Jesus Christ, Crucified to Save us all. John leaves behind a niece, Sandy Evan-Jones living in Canada, and in the U.S.A., two daughters, Jane Ellen Bradbury Carr and her husband, William E. Carr, Bonnie Jean Bradbury Wagner and her husband, Aubrey D. Wagner; six granddaughters, Janine M. Adams, Diana Carr-Cole, Samantha Wagner-Bowen, Susan E. Carr, Jaclyn J. Wagner, and Shawnee M. Wagner; one great-granddaughter, Tori L. DiLorenzo; one great-grandson, Riordan C. Brown; one great-great-granddaughter, Ava L. Cole; and one great-great-grandson, Levi M. Bell.J.J.
