John “Jack” Ellsworth Mooney, Jr.

John “Jack” Ellsworth Mooney, Jr., 80, of Shrewsbury passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Ellsworth Mooney, Sr., and Virginia Marie (Lana) Mooney.

He was the husband of Sylvia (Powers) Mooney with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

Jack enjoyed taking walks and talking with his neighbors in the community where he lived.

In addition to his wife Sylvia, he is survived by his son John Patrick Mooney and his wife Sarah R., stepdaughter Chrissy Miller and her husband B.J., eight grandchildren Morena, McKenna, Brayden, and Ainsley Mooney, Lexus Stickles and her husband Roy, Travis, Jacob, and Autumn Miller, great grandchild Brinlee Stickles, his twin brother George Mooney and half-brother Mark Mooney.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters Jackie and Louise.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
