With sadness we announce the death of John “Jack” M. Robey, Jr. Jack was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by a sister, his wife, 2 sons, a daughter, 2 stepsons, a stepdaughter, 7 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Jack was preceded in death by his son Andy. Jack served with distinction as a United States Air Force Strategic Air Command pilot. After his retirement from the Air Force, Jack led projects in Foreign Military Sales and United States Navy submarine carry-on board reduction systems. Jack retired in 1990. He was beloved by his family, his Air Force family, his neighbors, and his many friends. He was the “go to guy” if you needed a baby sitter, dog walker, house watcher, project helper, mover, etc.. His stories entertained and are the source of many happy memories. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held Tuesday, December 19 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 North Second Street, New Freedom, PA 17349. Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jack’s memory to the Air Force Aid Society: 1550 Crystal Drive, Suite 809, Arlington, VA 22202.
