John Samuel "J.J." Harvilicz,

On Saturday, December 17, 2016, John Samuel "J.J." Harvilicz, Jr., 8, died in Lancaster. He was the son of Dawn (McLaughlin) and John S. Harvilicz, Sr. Public viewings will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 22 at Christ Lutheran Church, 105 S. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361, and again in church from 1 p.m. until a funeral service begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 23. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Brian Biery will officiate. J.J. was born June 2, 2008 in York. He currently was a second grader at Shrewsbury Elementary and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching Pokémon, playing games on his tablet, reading and writing. He liked everything superhero, reading comics, and was going into his third year of Warrior Wrestling. J.J. was a fun, loving kid and was full of life. He is survived by his parents; sister, Ami McLaughlin; maternal grandmother, Debra Cassidy; paternal grandparents, John and Sandy Harvilicz; two uncles, Eric Harvilicz and John R. McLaughlin; and one aunt, Heather Scott. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to Christ Lutheran Church at the address above.
