John “Johnny” Thomas Price, 88, of White Hall, Maryland, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born in Sparks, Maryland, he was a son to the late William Robert and Maude Grace (Tracey) Price. He was the loving husband of 50 years to the late Carole Ann Price when she passed in 2007.
Johnny worked for Gray & Son Inc. as a truck driver for 60 years when he retired in 2018. He was a dedicated and hardworking man. Anyone that knew him would say he would always help anyone at the drop of a hat. He enjoyed working on cars, including his 1948 Ford. He and his wife restored it together to the beautiful red “Rockin’ Robin.” He also loved to entertain family and friends during his annual Bluegrass Party at his daughter’s house. The relationship between John and Robin was inseparable, this was seen by all who knew them. Johnny liked to play checkers, cards, and pool with the family during any free time, and taught Carson to operate the skid loader at age 8. He and his oldest granddaughter, Lilyann enjoyed numerous shopping trips throughout the years. The youngest grandchild, Marley always looked forward to riding the 4-wheeler and tractor with grandad too. John had a quality of being kind and generous to everyone that crossed his path. He was the definition of a family man; he loved and enjoyed his friends, but when it came to family, he cherished every minute with them, especially his grandchildren.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Robin Price-Rosier and her husband Jason; four grandchildren, Lilyann Dina Price, Carson John Rosier, Marley Carole Rosier, and Christopher Jones Rosier; two siblings, Jean Ensor and Pauline Wingler; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maude Price, his wife, Carole Ann Price, and a daughter, Dina Lynn Price, and five siblings, Jimmy Price, Robert Price, Gwendolyn Collins, Eleanor Wright, and Sadie Barrett.
