Joseph D. Barry

Joseph D. Barry, 60, of Stewartstown passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. Born in Baltimore, MD he was a son of the late Herbert D. Barry, Sr. and Bertha F. (Falls) Barry. Joe graduated from Woodlawn High School and was a union carpenter for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Most recently he had worked in the seafood department of Saubel’s Markets and was an avid hunter and was a member of the Parkton American Legion Post 256 where he tended bar part time. He is survived by five siblings John D. Barry and companion Nancy Differ, Herbert D. Barry, Jr. and wife Carol, Peter D. Barry and companion Linda Duncan, Roseanne E. Barry-Pryor and husband Dennis and Charles D. Barry and wife Susan. Joe was preceded in death by a brother Stephen D. Barry. A special thanks to Roberta Goodfellow a family friend as well as the WellSpan York Hospital Oncology Department for the excellent care provided to Joe during his treatments.
