Joyce M. Kutz

Joyce May Kutz, 81, passed from this life and onto her heavenly eternal home with her Lord and savior on Monday, March 24, 2025. She was the wife of the late Darrell Lewis Kutz. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Helen (Mitchell) Nugent. Joyce spent her life serving the Lord and caring for others. She worked as a preschool and early childhood development education teacher; she loved the children and her high school students. Joyce was an avid crafter and creative in nature, sharing those gifts with those around her, continuing with her teaching spirit.

Surviving are her three children, all of which she loved deeply, Timothy Paul Kutz, and his children, Kyler and Ryan; Joyell Lynn Hughes (John) and children Kevin & Melody; and Robert Andrew Kutz (Stacy) and son, Daniel. Joyce is also survived by many loving and dear friends. Especially her best friend, Arlene Loughead, who was like a sister to her. Joyce loved animals, and was very fond of her dogs. Her favorite pastime consisted of family vacations to Ocean City, NJ, and being with her loved ones. Spaghetti and chocolate ice cream were among her favorites and a sure way to bring a smile to her face.

Joyce taught Sunday school for Davisville Baptist Church in Southampton, Pa, for many years, teaching the gospel and leading many lives to the Lord. She loved singing hymns, being a part of the choir, and taking part in projects like Samaritan’s Purse each and every year. May her kind spirit encourage us to continue showing one another love as she did. Joyce was preceded in death by two grandsons & two brothers, Danny & Robert Nugent.

Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
