Juanita L. Cochran

Juanita Louise Cochran, 73, passed away at home on Thursday, January 28, 2021. She is the wife of James L. Cochran Sr.Born in Bethesda, Maryland, Juanita was the daughter of the late Donnie L. Montgomery Sr. and Wanda (Nester) Montgomery. Juanita had worked on various horse farms from the time she was 16 years old. She birthed the foals. Her last job at retirement was at Fitzhugh Farm in Phoenix, Maryland. Horses were a huge part of Juanita’s life. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, James L. Cochran Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Windsor; a grandson, Dylan R. Cochran of Delta; and two sisters, D. Kay Baublitz and her husband, Dale of Galax, Virginia, and Jeanette Webb and her husband, Ralph of Hillsville, Virginia. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie L. Montgomery Jr. There will be a celebration of life gathering later this year when everyone can come together.
