June Marie Miller

June Marie Miller, 86, of York, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She was born on May 26, 1938, in York County, PA, a daughter of the late Samuel and Augusta (Hunt) Miller of New Freedom. June graduated in 1956 from Susquehannock High School, Glen Rock. She was employed at Bendix Corporation in Towson, MD, and worked in the accounting department, retiring in 1995.

Surviving are two brothers, Ronald Miller and Barry Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 7 siblings: Louis Miller, Margaret Testudine, Donald Miller, Robert Miller, Ivan Miller, Samuel Miller Jr., and Larry Miller.

June traveled both nationally and internationally, taking many bus excursions, especially to New York for various Broadway shows. She enjoyed sewing and reading about U.S. history. She was an active member of the Maryland Line UMC, MD, Mays Chapel UMC, Padonia, MD, and Otterbein UMC, Emigsville, PA.

There will be a service honoring her life at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. There will be a visitation from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the memorial service in the New Freedom Cemetery.
